The Andy Warhol Foundation today announced the election of board chair, Igor DaCosta, and three new board members, Paul Ha, Ruby Lerner and Anne Pasternak.

Igor DaCosta is a Managing Director of Portfolio Advisors and serves as a voting member of the firm’s Investment Committees. Previously, he was Co-Head of DLJ Investment Partners at Credit Suisse. In addition to serving as a director or observer on numerous corporate boards, Mr. DaCosta is a board member of Contemporary Art Daily and previously served as President of Artists Space.

Paul Ha is the Director of the MIT List Visual Arts Center. A highly respected member of the museum community, Paul Ha has previously served as the founding Director of The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Executive Director of White Columns and commissioner and co-curator of the United States Pavilion at the La Biennale di Venezia 56th International Art Exhibition, presenting artist Joan Jonas.

Ruby Lerner is the founding Executive Director of Creative Capital, an innovative arts foundation that adapts venture capital concepts to support individual artists. Prior to Creative Capital, Ruby Lerner served as the Executive Director of the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers (AIVF) and as Publisher of the highly regarded Independent Film and Video Monthly. She is currently the inaugural Herberger Institute Policy Fellow at Arizona State University and Senior Advisor to the Patty Disney Center for Life and Work at CalArts.

Anne Pasternak is the Director of the Brooklyn Museum, one of the oldest and largest fine arts collections in the nation. Previously, she served as President and Artistic Director of Creative Time, a non-profit arts organization that commissions and presents adventurous public art projects. Anne has been committed to initiating projects that give artists opportunities to engage in the big issues of our time and is known as a renowned innovator in her field.

Joel Wachs, President of The Andy Warhol Foundation, said the addition of Mr. Ha, Ms. Lerner and Ms. Pasternak gives the board the strength of proven leadership in the foundation’s most important constituencies — artists and the non-profit art institutions that support them — and further expressed confidence that Mr. DaCosta will be a dynamic and inspiring successor to recently retired board chair, Larry Rinder.
