Real Art Ways announces the Provision Fund, a new grant program that will support Connecticut artists in creating new work. The Provision Fund is made possible with funding from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, and will be managed and administered by Real Art Ways.
“Artists and community are at the center of Real Art Ways’ mission. We are delighted that the Provision Fund will support artists in our state of Connecticut,” says Will K. Wilkins, Real Art Ways’ Executive Director.
About the Provision Fund In its first year of annual grant-making, six $10,000 project grants to Connecticut- based artists will be awarded through an open-call, juried process.
The 2026 jury will include artist Saya Woolfalk, author and curator Seph Rodney, and arts professional Kelsey Halliday Johnson.
The Provision Fund website, announcing the opening of the application period, will launch on Monday, July 20.
The application deadline will be Sunday, September 20. There is no fee for artists to apply. Grantees will be announced in December 2026.
Projects must be grounded in the visual arts and be public-facing. (Projects will not take place at Real Art Ways.) Individual artists, collaborative teams, and informal collectives are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The Warhol Foundation is a long time supporter of Real Art Ways and has supported artists exhibiting at the acclaimed multidisciplinary arts center for decades.
