River Valley Arts Collective is a nexus for artists and artisans of the Hudson Valley to connect with each other and their broader community through a productive exchange that is generative and transformative. By fostering the cultural landscape of their region, and making space for experimentation, skill sharing and peer to peer learning, RVAC celebrates the value of creative production. Through partnerships with neighboring arts organizations, foundations, studios, and farms, they curate exhibitions, commission new work, organize outdoor installations, give artists both material and monetary grants, coordinate residencies, host workshops, and spark discussions on a wide range of subjects.

“We strive to support institutions that share our artist-centered values. The small grassroots arts organizations as well as the museums that comprise our grantees provide invaluable opportunities for artists to express their unique perspectives on the pressing urgencies of the day. We hope that our grants help to amplify artists’ voices within their communities, in national discussions and debates, and across platforms in the international contemporary art world.”
