As a dynamic center for visual arts, the Tufts University Art Galleries (TUAG) creates responsive programming in two locations: at the main campus in Medford, MA and at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts in Boston. TUAG presents four major exhibitions per year that are complemented by residencies, commissions, experimental symposia, research initiatives, workshops, and institutional partnerships. Projects are developed in conversation with unique working groups of artists, curators, faculty, and students within and beyond Tufts University.
Over the next two years, the organization will present exhibitions and programming along four distinct lines of inquiry: civic activism; experimental performance and sound; feminist disability rights; and non-western epistemologies.
