apexart is an educational arts institution that has served as an important incubator for curators and creatives for almost 30 years. apexart is propelled by the notion that exclusivity is contrary to creativity. Since its inception in 1994, apexart has presented 243 exhibitions, in 33 countries giving professional exposure to more than 1200 artists. For almost thirty years, apexart has presented solid group exhibitions by an international array of emerging artists in its Tribeca storefront gallery as well a venues all over the world including Uganda, Sweden, South Africa, Jordan, and Peru. apexart’s fellowship program brings artists and curators from around the world to New York for the first time while its outbound program sends New York-based artists and curators abroad. More than 210 artists and curators from more than 50 countries have participated in an apexart fellowship. The organization works to support artists and curators as they explore new territories at home and abroad with its unique curatorial process and its open engagement with other places, practices, and perspectives.
