The mission of the Beall Center for Art + Technology is to support research, exhibitions, and public programs that explore new relationships between the arts, sciences, and engineering, and to promote new forms of creation and expression using digital technologies. Located in the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at UC Irvine in Southern California, the organization offers a platform for artists who use cutting-edge technology in engaging and strategic ways. The Beall Center aspires to redefine the museum/gallery experience by formulating answers to the questions of how technology can be used effectively to create new forms of interdisciplinary art, in addition to connecting artists with audiences.

“We strive to support institutions that share our artist-centered values. The small grassroots arts organizations as well as the museums that comprise our grantees provide invaluable opportunities for artists to express their unique perspectives on the pressing urgencies of the day. We hope that our grants help to amplify artists’ voices within their communities, in national discussions and debates, and across platforms in the international contemporary art world.”
