Living Arts of Tulsa presents and develops critically-engaged contemporary art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is a platform for evolving ideas and aesthetics, interdisciplinarity, and community empowerment through exhibitions, workshops, performances, films, lectures, and education: engendering artistic integrity and experimentation for a thoughtful and rigorous arts ecology.

Founded In 1969 by a group of artists Living Arts of Tulsa provides a thoughtful and rigorous arts ecology for artistic works that push both artists and the audience to engage in an experience beyond the traditional gallery setting.

1928

August 6, 1928. Andy Warhol was born Andrew Warhola in Pittsburgh to Julia and Andrej Warhola, Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants and devout Byzantine Catholics who had fled poverty and war in current-day Slovakia.
