Packaged Black is a joint exhibition of Derrick Adams and Barbara Earl Thomas. It will be a collaborative, multi-media installation of new work developed from the artists’ shared interest in questions of representation, Black identity, display, and performance.  The exhibition and its corresponding events will examine the condition of being simultaneously hyper-visible and invisible and will work to reconfigure Black visibility through visual and narrative strategies.

Donna Huanca is the first solo exhibition for the Germany-based Bolivian-American artist. Huanca demonstrates a deep investment in Bolivian ritual practices and the exhibition will include mixed-media canvases; floor pieces; a curved platform that will act as a stage for performances; a large, niched structure resembling an altarpiece; and standing sculptures, all painted and decorated in conversation with the bodies of performers, live models who take choreographic direction from Huanca and whose bodies Huanca paints.
