Residency Unlimited (RU) supports the creation, presentation, and dissemination of contemporary art through its unique residency program and year-long public programs. RU provides customized residencies for international and local artists and curators in New York City focused on network support, project/production assistance, and public exposure. Working together with residents and partners, RU develops a tailored residency experience that aims to maximize the potential of the residents by supporting and realizing short term projects and helping to advance long term goals. Residents benefit from the creative and logistical support of RU staff, customized weekly studio visits with art professionals, and RU community and public programing.

The Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program was launched in 2007 in celebration of the Foundation’s 20th Anniversary. This unprecedented program donated over 28,500 photographs by Andy Warhol to educational institutions across the United States. More than 180 college and university museums, galleries and art collections throughout the nation participated in the program, each receiving a curated selection of original Polaroid photographs and gelatin silver prints.
