Studio Two Three is a nonprofit community arts space. It offers studios, classes and workshops, artist residency, and open doors. It provides 24/7 access to printing presses, communal workspace, and individual artist studios to support art making for personal and social change. It supports the role of the arts in civic voice and engagement, partnering with activists and leaders to provide space for creative advocacy initiatives. The organization empowers artists to make art and make change. Striving for a world in which the power of art is willingly and joyfully harnessed for personal, social, and systemic change.

Philip Johnson commissioned Warhol to make a large-scale work for the exterior for his pavilion for the New York World’s Fair, along with other artists. Warhol’s provocative response, a multiple portrait of ‘Most Wanted Men’ was installed a few days before the opening but was deemed too inflammatory and contrary to the upbeat image of the World’s Fair and the work was taken down.
