Located in the former Covington Public Library, The Carnegie is the largest and only multidisciplinary arts venue in Northern Kentucky, housing The Carnegie Galleries, the Eva G. Farris Education Center and the Otto M. Budig Theatre. The Carnegie utilizes its historic building to provide a venue for emerging and established artists to create, perform, and exhibit; provide educational opportunities for the discovery and enhancement of creativity and celebrate the arts.

The Carnegie endeavors to place the work of local artists before the eyes of many curators, writers, and arts professionals from beyond the region. Throughout the year, it also partners with local cultural institutions and national organizations to circulate work, host exhibitions, and co-present public programs.

1963

Warhol begins his foray into innovative, unprecedented filmmaking and starts making silent, moving portraits called Screen Tests.
