The Snapdragon Fund provides direct financial support to artists for their creative practice and to fund their most ambitious ideas in twelve counties of North Carolina. This region is well-primed for significant investment in the individual artists that make up its creative community. This fund is designed to support artists who also exist in the geographical and creative margins and whose contributions to the burgeoning creative culture have historically been overlooked and under-resourced. The Snapdragon Fund offers $60,000 in grants to artists and creatives in the counties of Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Harnett, Johnson, Lee, Nash, Orange, Wake, Wayne, and Wilson. The Snapdragon Fund seeks to fund artist-organized projects of high artistic merit and community impact. Ideal candidates will use grant funds to further their artistic practice, create opportunities for other artists, engage the broader community, and contribute to racial, disability, and queer justice.
