Night Bloom: Grants for Artists of the Sonoran Desert is organized by MOCA Tucson and distributes $60,000 in grants for artist-organized projects in amounts ranging from $5,000 – $7,500. Night Bloom is a project-specific award to support under-the-radar, experimental, and collaboratively focused visual art projects. Awards will go to artists making public-facing work that exists beyond the reach of traditional structures, and that enhances the cultural ecosystems within the greater Tucson area. Priority will be given to applications that engage the unique contexts and possibilities of the greater Tucson area and the Sonoran Desert, those that center equity, and proposals that take collaborative approaches to create new opportunities for artistic exchange and discourse in the region.
